Funds requested will be used to assist with the cost of replacing (3) portable radios, 12 mobile radios and (1) base unit at a projected cost of $63,612.31 so that our department will be in compliance with the “SIRN 20/20 Initiative.” “SIRN” is the Statewide Interoperable Radio Network for North Dakota. It is communication system for first responders to serve and protect citizens. The “SIRN 20/20” program provides a statewide solution to delivering an interoperable system for all departments involved in public safety including emergency dispatchers and fire, EMS & police departments.
